Attending for Skill Advancement, Not Just Maintenance

Continuing from last month, JISUHADA ARTMAKE SCHOOL has been running a full schedule again this month ✨

The artist who joined us this time already has experience as an art makeup practitioner, but rather than being satisfied with their current level, they came all the way to Korea to further advance their skills.

They arrived well-prepared, with a clear understanding of their challenges and areas for improvement. This allowed us to focus the training on those specific points.

The goal of this training was not to create permanent art makeup that lasts forever, but rather to ensure treatments that safely fade over a few years while leaving clients fully satisfied. During the course, we focused on correcting the finer details to achieve this.

Day 1

1. Learned the embo patterns used at JISUHADA, comparing them to patterns the student had been using.

2. Checked and corrected incorrect habits when drawing strokes.

We thoroughly addressed the risks of continuing with incorrect habits and pinpointed the issues in the student’s current techniques, correcting them in detail.

Day 2

1. Repeated practice to create symmetrical left and right eyebrows.

2. Observed model treatments (including light touch practice).

The student was extremely dedicated and attentive, which made the lessons run smoothly and allowed them to fully grasp the emboss (hair stroke) technique.

As with all students, attending a few days of training in Korea is just the beginning. The real growth comes after returning to Japan—when the student continues to practice, apply, and internalize what they learned on their own.

Since they invested time and resources to travel to Korea for training, it’s essential to continue putting in the effort afterward to maximize the value of this learning experience!
